Can I use these soaps if I have sensitive skin?
For sensitive skin, it is recommend that you use only as a hand soap in the first instance. If no irritation occurs you can try on other areas of your body. If you experience irritation or discomfort, discontinue use immediately.
Are your soaps suitable for vegetarians / vegans?
Please refer to the individual ingredient description of each product before purchase.
How should I look after my soap?
Do not leave your soap sitting in water. It is recommended that you use a soap tray or sisal bag that will allow the water to drain away which will give your soap a longer life of use.
Are your soaps tested on animals?
Animal testing on finish cosmetic products has been banned in the European Union since 19th September 2004.
Animal testing on ingredients or a combination of ingredients for cosmetics has been banned in the EU since 11th March 2009.
Clean & Pure Soap can confirm that to our knowledge the ingredients and products we supply have not involved testing of any sort on animals, no testing on animals has been conducted on animals at the initiative of the company or on our behalf.
Do you offer wholesale?
At present wholesale is not available, however this may be something to offer as the company grows.
SHIPPING
Small parcels weighing up to 2kg are sent second class, via Royal Mail. These can take between two to three working days, including Saturdays and cost £4.20 including postage and packaging.

Do you ship internationally?
Due to cosmetic trading laws within Europe we are not currently able to ship there. However, shipping options for America and Canada are available on request but are likely to incur additional charges from customs.
Shipping is available to the following locations: Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and Channel Island.
Do you recycle your packaging?
Where possible, we will recycle packaging that we receive from our suppliers in our attempt to reduce waste.
Processing Time
I aim to have your goods posted within three days of placing the order, in most instances it will be sooner. If for any reason there is a delay, you will be notified by email.
RETURNS
Each order is hand packed with the utmost care and attention, and as such I am confident that your order will arrive in perfect condition.
If, for any reason your order arrives damaged, please contact me within seven days of your delivery. You may be asked that the damaged items are returned, and I will then issue with you with a full refund or replacement which ever you choose.
For reasons of hygiene and health and safety, unfortunately I am not able to refund or exchange the handmade products. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
INGREDIENTS
Olive Oil
A skin-friendly oil widely used as a base ingredient in many soap recipes. Olive oil has moisturising and nourishing properties, and adds a creamy texture to the soap. It has been said that it may lower the risk of acne too.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is an excellent cleanser for both the skin and hair. It is commonly used in natural soaps as it helps to remove dead skin cells and dirt away from the body.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is free from chemical irritants that are known to dry the skin and is therefore recommended for all skin types. One of its many qualities is the ability it to form a protective layer on the skin and retain water, this ensures your skin remains hydrated and moisturised.
Castor Oil
This thick oil contains triglycerides and can help maintain the moisture in dry skin. When used in cold process soap castor oil creates a creamy and bubbly lather.
Rice Bran Oil
Rice Bran Oil is said to improve circulation, even out skin tone and soothes irritation. It give’s soap a lovely silky feel.
Mango Butter
This is an effective moisturiser and may help soften your skin. Mango Butter has an abundance of Vitamin E and Vitamin C.
Kokum Butter
Kokum butter has powerful moisturising prosperities and won’t clog pores. It’s frequently used to treat a variety of skin issues, including acne, minor inflammatory conditions, and dry skin, hair and scalp. However, there’s very little research to support its ability to treat any particular condition.
